VAT in generator has increased but correct in front office

Hi all, a strange problem this one:

We have just upgraded successfully to PS 1.5.4.1

 

The prices in the FO are displayed without VAT which is as we want, with VAT (20%) being added at checkout.

 

When we go to make additions to the back office we can see that existing attributes are showing with the excluding VAT price box showing the including VAT price and the including VAT price now showing the aforementioned price plus another 20%. These higher prices are NOT showing in the FO until we update when the prices in the FO change.

 

So, it appears somewhere we have done something that takes inc VAT prices in the back office and makes them the exc prices. As we have 1000s of attributes already in place its going to be a major job to amend them as and when we put new attributes in. Does anyone have any ideas what may have caused this to happen?
