Unable to run in debug mode

Hi,

 

I am was running 1.5.3.1 and encountered a problem where I was getting an Error 500. I edited the defines.inc.php file to turn on debugging but it does not work.

 

I upgraded to 1.5.4.1 to see if this would solve the problem with the Error 500, but no joy and the debug still does not work.

 

Would appreciate any assistance.

please tell us how you turned on debug mode.
