What we have now: A webshop made with and old Joomla and Virtuemart version (and some modifications) working over 5 years now: - around 20 000 active products (and 5000 inactive right now) - around 12 000 categories (yes, its a lot, i know... but we wanted a different approach - http://www.lamparendeles.hu/ - if you want to take a look (its only in hungarian language on this site) - it's not that slow - despite the huge number of products and categories What i need: - a cart that can handle 20-30 000 products, fast - if it is possible with handling 10-20 000 categories (with category images) - maybe i'm loosing this for a very good filtering (but it would be great to have both) - csv (or xls, maybe xml) import with _many_ products in one file (it can be 2000 - 3000 too) - i must be able to import product details, categories, prices, tax, attributes, options, features in one .csv - the import must be able to create products and categories on the fly - i must be able to import categories in that file with category name and tree (not by id) - i must be able to import price, quantity, special updates separatelly too - i must be able to delete empty categories, unpublish categories which had all its products status set to 0, and publish it when it has at least one active product in it - i need a very good, fast and flexible filtering system We installed a copy to our server, and looked up some features. We found that csv import module. It seems pretty good. Can all that be managed with the above mentioned csv import mod? Or maybe is there an another solution? Another question: is there a way to make PrestaShop not to rename our product images and not to put them in directories it wants to? We would like to have them with names and in directories as we upload them... Can PrestaShop work for us? Can it be fast and reliable with that kind of numbers?
