chenh Posted June 26, 2013 Share Posted June 26, 2013 Hi, I'm using prestashop 1.5.3.1, this is my website: www.tiempoerotico.com My website takes alot of time to load, I don't know why. I'm starting to think it's prestashop because first, I have all perfomance options on (Those who help loading speed.), and I also use cdn, cloudflare. Yet the shop loads the pages at a slow speed that it hurts. I don't think the problem is my hosting provider since I have other domains and they load fast. Should I switch ecommerce platform? But on the same token it takes less resources to run than a magento site. What kind of hosting are you using? How many products do you have in your shop? Currently there are at least 174 websites hosted on the same machine as you, but I would guess the number is far greater than that. Oh, and I'm planning on buying the VPS lvl 3 plan on hostgator, I actually thought of doing it before but wasen't sure. Just wondering, if this is a good VPS plan. I think a level 3 would be more apt for the site, For the same price here, http://www.webhostingbuzz.com/vps-hosting.php you get twice the ram and twice the cpu power. tczaude Posted June 26, 2013 Share Posted June 26, 2013 You have right i worked only with VPS but minimum is to load time under 3sec 2Ghz procesor 1Gb ram half take mysql rest for another services and disk space hmm 10 Gb operating system binlogs for base with all other is to small in my opinion the smallest machine in my use is 2,7 Ghz procesor 384 Mb ram and this take always some swap and 30 Gb Hdd for 10$ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

CPU: 1.13 GHZ RAM: 768 DISK SPACE: 30 GB BANDWIDTH: 500 GB I also send a ticket to hostgator regarding about the VPS plan, but they told me this: Please note however that a VPS is a small partition of a much larger server, while you are not using shared resources, your resource pool is much smaller. A level 3 VPS will likely not increase the speed of your sites, but will give you a greater amount of flexibility to customize the software on those sites so you can optimize it in other ways. So it won't increase my loading speed? I mean, atleast the server is not running with 175 other websites which I was also told this affected my SEO. A VPS plan would make my website faster? I mean 3 sec is not that bad..sometimes my websites takes 15 or 20 secs to load, but it happens randomly, sometimes it takes 1 to 5 secs to load. The cloudvps from http://www.hostv.com/ The lvl 1 offers: CPU cores: 1 x 2.5 Ghz Ram: 1.5 GB Disk Space: 20 GB Bandwidth: 1000 GB Dedi IPS: 2 Price: 30 dolars Looks better than the one in hostgator too!
