Maury Markowitz
I have an image slider on my home page, like so many of you. I'm on a MacAir. I have noticed that when the main page of my site is open, the CPU load apparently goes through the roof. I notice this indirectly, as the fans slowly spool up and my battery drains. I'd like to start narrowing this down. Is anyone else on a Mac and has this problem? What about alternate browsers? Other platforms?
vekia
what kind of slider you use? sometimes javascripts / flash banners overload the CPU usage

Dh42
I would try to shrink the images. The first slider image is about 780kb, I would convert them to jpg's and shrink the files. That will free up a good bit of resources.
