"Your .htaccess file must be writable" problem

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm trying to delete English language and use only Spanish (AR).

With filezilla I put writable premissions (666) to the .htaccess file on the root directory, look http://d.pr/i/erZ6

But I stil having the alert on the backend. I can't disable or delete EN, look http://d.pr/i/yLys

What I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

the red box says that you cannot delete default language, which mean you need to change the defualt language to be AR before you can delete or disable english

the blue box is just for information (recommendation), it is not really checking the permission of the file, just telling you that it need to be writeable.
