create download pack

Hi.

I need to know if this new prestashop version (1.5.4.1) aloud me to create a download pack from multiple music files ?

I want to upload single music files one by one to seel individually and be able to create a file from the single files to sell as an album.

 

I know early versions of Prestashop didnt do this with downloads and I want to know if this new version (1.5.4.1) will make it .

I think you would need to place all the files in a folder and then zip the folder

Sorry my late reply but I been working blind on my store lately.

 

Please clarify...

 

I think on this new version I can create 1 product (download) and then add multiple products to that "main product" !?

I been look around but the download side of prestashop looks a bit complicated to understand!

 

1- I upload 10 music tracks individual (for I sell individually)

After I have the 10 tracks uploaded and posted as single file for download...

 

2- I can create a product (album) and instead to upload a zip file with the same 10 tracks , I can pull the tracks I upload before into this new (album) I create.

NO.. Wrong ! This is a shame Any E-commerce is offering this feature but prestashop still not let me create download packs from files already upload !?

You cannot currently add combinations or virtual products to a pack.

If you need to have packs with combinations, you will have to create single products for each combination. This is a known limitation that will be fixed in a coming version of PrestaShop.

prestochangeo offers a module for this. This hopefully will be a feature in future ps release.
