Guest Checkout With Company Name Requires VAT Number?

Hi All

 

Just noticed this issue.

 

If a customer uses guest checkout there is a non-obligatory field for "Company"

However, if the customer populates that field, another field drops down with "VAT Number"

 

 

We are in Australia and don't have VAT numbers and I'd like to remove this non-feature.

 

I can't find any way to disable it and would be grateful for any input.

Hi Deepee,

 

Have you disabled the VAT module in Modules section? (go search for VAT)

 

Have you tried outcommenting the VAT-number section in the theme files?

• addresses.tpl
  
• authentication.tpl
  
• order-opc-new-account.tpl
  
• shopping-cart.tpl
  
• Address.tpl
  

I'm not quite sure if you will get a validation error just by out-commenting the area, as its been a while since I had this issue.

Hi Vekia,

 

i hope you know the solution because i'm very sad

 

i would like the form of rapid checkout (guest checkout)

with no required field for example "vat_number" if i active the b2b in prestashop (because my client must have this option required for different catalog)

however required/mandatory in the registration form.

 

maybe i must modify order-opc-new-account.tpl and bypass the validate class? but i don't know where.
