Setting up postage by weight?

Hi There,

 

I have set up 1 carrier for up to 1kg (£2.50), and 1 carrier over 1kg (£5.00). I can't get prestashop to increase the postage/change the carrier automatically by weight as more items are added to the cart?

 

It just defaults to the lowest charge unless the customer manually changes to the higher shipping cost?

 

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

You will do 1 carrier with 2 weight ranges (0-1.001 and 1.001-1000) you check the countries/regions you need them and then you put the prices you charge in the boxes.. I hope it helps..!!
