bruce-rez
Hi, My Sitemap page is broken when I click on it. I am guessing there is an error with its link. I did search in blockcms.tpl and footer.tpl and sitemap.tpl without success to edit the link. When you are there scroll down the page and you will see the page is broken, for example the Footer is moved to the left, viewed products are on the left side, etc.... Screen shot attached. Thank you. Edited June 19, 2013 by bruce-rez (see edit history)
benjamin utterback
Hi Bruce, I don't think it's a problem with the link. The link is going to the right page. Do you know when this happened? Was this page formatted correctly at first but then changed? My guess that it is a css issue within the sitemap.tpl file. Maybe an extra or misconfigured div . bruce-rez
Hi Menjamin, I found it broken by navigating different pages. i did not do any modification to this page. Since the SSL certificate was installed by my hosting and there was a change of HTTP to HTTPS and then I srtated having some broken links and pages. I am in contact with my hosting and troubshooting the url's issue that I had with some element like my Top Horizontal Menu. For now all these problems are apparently fixed except the Sitemap page and Top Horizontal Menu. I have a different question maybe you have any idea about it. I am suspecting that the .htaccess could be the reason of these latest problems that I had. Actually I found 2 .htaccess files in my hosting, one is located in the root folder and the other one in themes folder. I'm using my default_grid theme which is bulit according to Prestashop documantation by going to back-office and create a new theme with copying missing files from existing theme option. Q1- How many .htaccess should be in the website? Q2- Which .htaccess is used for loading the website, the one in root folder or the one in used theme? Thank you
benjamin utterback
Hi bruce-rez, I don't think that it is normal to have two htaccess files. The one in the root of the website is usually the only one. I'm not 100% sure. Are the two htaccess files different in anyway?
bruce-rez
Yes they are different in size and upload date.
bruce-rez
Here is the latest response I got today from my hosting regarding .htaccess: We are actually finding many .htaccess files: ./.htaccess ./modules/.htaccess .. ./themes/.htaccess .htaccess files work in a hierarchy structure, with new directives over writing the rules of the parent. However we are not seeing anything in these .htaccess files that should cause any issues. As you will see from the following log snippet mod_rewrite is enabled on your server: Loaded Modules: core_module (static) ... alias_module (static) rewrite_module (static) ... There is a possibility that your browser cache is outdated and not displaying the updated version of the site. Please try clearing your browser cache, as per the instructions at the link below:
