mtporter
can PS be installed on a sub-directory so that it does not interfere with an existing store, then once 'ready' made to run on root?
vekia
you can install prestashop in the subdirectory - if the shop will be ready, you can point your domain to this directory.
mtporter
Yes, I know. But how easy can it be 'transported' to run on the root after the sub-directory was setup to replace the existing files or store that is running. Could it be as easy as Wordpress is (for those that know how Wordpress can be installed on sub-directory but made to run on root)?
PascalVG
If you really want, you can move your shop to anywhere, including the root. some info about moving to another server is for example here: http://squirrelhosting.co.uk/hosting-blog/hosting-blog-info.php?id=27 But why bother to move it physically to the root if you can move your www.yourdomain.com to point to that subdirectory? It's just a physical location, the domain/URL doesn't show anything of it. And yo don't have to move your current root-files... My 2 cents, pascal
