Deeo
Hi, I'm just playing a bit with prestashop. I just dont get the categories to be shown at the top horizontal menu: - I added new Categories, marked them as root (even tried without root) - I added sub-Categories. - I cleared the cache (cache/smarty/cache and cache/smarty/compile) - I tried to add the Categories in the Modules/blocktopmenu section at the backend --> Here is the problem I see under "Categories" only one "Root(qbooks)", but I think, there should be the others, too. Shop-Url: http://shop.web240.server-drome.net Thanks in advance.
Bob Wagstaff
What categories do you have set up in BO under categories?
PascalVG
Hi Deeo, did you just delete the Top menu to fix the problem?
Deeo
Hi, Sorry, had a lot of troubles the last days. In the backoffice (i hope, you mean that by "BO"?!) I have under "Catalog" -> "Categories" 2 Main-Categories, each with 2 sub-Categories. All of them are active. (I can see them in the normal nav-Bar on the left side). @pascal: No, i didnt delete it. That is the problem, it is not visible if I only add the "root"-Category, to the top menu
Bob Wagstaff
Okay, first option I would try would be to uninstall blocktopmenu and then reinstall it and see if you can configure it second time around
Deeo
I did that already. I even deleted and uploaded/installed it again. It didnt work. I think I will try it at another webspace, as this is a clean, fresh prestashop installation and I am the only one with that problem. So probably it is something with the setting on that webspace.
