Back office broken after upgrading (1.4 to 1.5)

Hi everyone.

 

We had a Prestashop 1.4.6.2 setup but found ourselves in need for an upgrade (we wanted to install a new theme).

 

I tried the "automatic" upgrade with modules AutoUpgrade and 1-ClickUpgrade to no avail. I was forced to make a manual upgrade.

 

I followed this guide, and the setup screens had weird characters as you can see in the image.

 

 

The setup also asked me to change permissions on the following folders and files. I changed them all to CHMOD 777. After the installation, I reverted them back to 755.

~/cache/
~/log/
~/img/
~/mails/
~/modules/
~/themes/default/lang/
~/themes/default/cache/
~/translations/
~/upload/
~/download/
~/sitemap.xml

 

After the installation was done, I went to the back office and the menus are broken (see image below). When I try to get inside any of the options, I receive a "File not found" error.

 

 

If you go to our store (http://www.lakiwicha.com.ar/) and click on an item, you will get the same message.
