Help need on installation

Hi,

I am a new bie to both prestashop and php. After install both apache and prestashop in my local desktop, I browse http://127.0.0.1/install/index.php to configure this application and found the page cannot be displayed. Could anyone help me how to install this application or direct me where i can find the installation guide? Further, i cannot rename the htaccess.txt into .htaccess in windows as it prompts me a message about 'you must type a file name'.
