Anotherkid
Hey guys,I've started working on my e-commerce site with prestashop. I've installed in locally using wampserver and starting to work on it but have started to wonder how easy/hard it'll be to transfer to my future web hosting space? Will i have to start from zero and create the mysql database again? I'm making my own template from scratch so would it be enough to simply transfer my theme folder to the hosting space for it to work? But my most important question is about the products, if i create all the products with descriptions, images, etc. Can i transfer it all to the hosting site? or would i have to have to make the products from scratch once online?thanks
Trip
Fast answer. If your hosting provider meets the technical specs it shouldn"nt be a problem to copy the whole project via ftp to the live server.Than you dump the local database with phpmyadmin and import it on the live server. You"ve to edit the (i think)settings.php in the config folder and that"s it in 99% of the cases. So, when you read in the forum there can always be a problem for different reasons but I did this already 2 or 3 times without complicationsRegards, trip
