Need help with my csv import file

Hi,

I am new to prestashop, I am using 1.5.4.1 and I am switching over from opencart & I really need this to work. I made a test csv file & I followed Nemo's youtube video on how to import the file in to my store and it is not working out for me, Looks like it has something to do with the field separator or something or the format, I just have 1 product in their as a test and when I uploaded it, I got some error messages and the site which is new, looks like a mess, I just want it to look normal.

 

So this is exactly what I did, uploaded the file, chose products, field sep I used ; and Multiple value separator I used , then I went to next page and down below its a mess, all the info does not line up under the tab & I uploaded anyway & it looks bad, Can anyone please look at my file & tell me what I am doing wrong in the file or am I using the wrong settings to import.

I just tried the tab as the field sep and on the next page that look messed up.

Don't know if you got this resolved, but I've attached a sample csv file that does load into 1.5.4.1

 

You just need to replace the sample values in the file with your own values. The separator I have used is a |. You should use this as the "field separator" on the import screen.
