[SOLVED] DNI and VAT number difference?

Hello, Prestashop is using VAT number as module and DNI which can be required when registered. Can somone tell me whats the difference? In my country it seems to be same?

Are they interchangeable?

Actually I need to put up a b2b system not accessible from private customers.

Seems todiffer: DNI number is personal, VAT number is corporate ID number for DIFFERENT purpose...

 

DNI (Documento Nacional de Identidad): This is the ID number for Spanish citizens. The same number is used for one’s driver’s license.

 

Vat_number: A value added tax identification number or VAT identification number (VATIN) is an identifier used in many countries, including the countries of the European Union, for value added tax purposes.

 

Was this the DNI you referred to??

So it seems that what I'm looking for is the VAT.

 

However I can't find the VAT in the Address page in the BO .

Maybe I found what I need!

 

To enable the VAT management you need to install a core module and then set the vat field (in the address page list in BO) as required.

 

I think that this is what I need.
