anukku
Hy, i have a small problem. I recently started working on a website based on prestashop. I translated some missing expression for my language (romanian), translated my mail templates from my custom theme, added some products (just 6-7 of them but a lot more to come), and all the usual stuff. The problem is that all this time i've let active romanian language and english language. Now when i decided to go live i;ve set default language romanian, deleted english and all other languages and when i checked with google i was surprised to see that google already indexed some of my pages, but he indexed all the bad stuff i don;t want like for example: www.mysite.ro/ro www.mysite,ro/en www.mysite.ro/contact-us http://www.mysite.ro/ro/5-laptops Etc It indexed sample categories and products, old atributes etc. Should i be worried? or it will resolve in time by submitting actualized sitemaps? For now i have a lot of 404 error pages... I also tried from cpanel to make redirect from www.mysite.ro/ro to www.mysite.ro but it didn;t work...i see no changes in htacess. Also, before prestashop i had for 2 weeks another eshop platform on the same domain and i've submitted from my attracta seo account the sitemap a few times and i am stuck with that old links also:(( Edited June 11, 2013 by anukku (see edit history)
anukku
Yeah...is a pain in the ass but i decided to use googles webmasters remove url tool to remove all bad indexed links. But i have like alot of links to add so if i add 100 links for remove per day maybe i will finish in one week or so )
