Prestashop vs custom web app

Hi to all!

 

A customer ask me to implement an e-commerce that have not a local database. Each information will be retrieved from his data store via web services.

 

For your experience is convenient develop a complete override of Prestashop classes? In other terms, which solution is better between:

 

- a custom web application

- prestashop completely overrided?

in my opinion own system is better for this, there is a really a lot to do with classess...

 

But... maybe some integration module? then you will not have to change the core, just import / export products + attributes + prices

Hi vekia, thanks for your reply.

 

In this case the customer want that orders and customers data are synchronized in "real time" with his crm.

Only for categories and products I was able to propose a scheduled syncronization

but if your customer CRM system has got an api, you can import also orders / customers

via module of course. In my opinion this is better way than modification of the core.
