SpringDay.com
I want no references to tax on my Prestashop install, anywhere. It is so freaking confusing to people, I am just going to eat it. PROBELMI only have three options in the back office.1. Tax included**2. Tax excluded***3. Both excluded and included taxThere needs to be a fourth option. NONE!Even when I have the tax option set to "NO", I am STILL required to list the product one of the three ways listed above. Which defeats the whole problem of confusion for customers.I fixed this by going in to the translation file and changing the unwanted tax references to something that was not tax related. Example "tax included" now reads "ea." That way I am not changing any code but when it attempts to lay in the unwanted text it lays in text I can live with. Would have been much easier if you simply had an option to leave all the tax references out of Prestashop all together.
ruxinna
I totally agree with you, I have the same problem. Prestashop 1.1 was good for me because it showed no tax if none was set. I do not need tax incl or no tax written near prices as my products have no tax at all. I think they haven't though about this case when they changed it for 1.2. It's confusing for customers, if prices are tax included they expect an invoice with tax and I can't give them one, if prices are tax excluded they will think the products are more expansive. (sorry for my English) Please help us, what should we do? If someone from Prestashop reads this, please do something about this, there are business that can sell stuff with no tax and it's legal, you know? Fabrice
just choose one option and hide them with CSS or just put a "space" in the translation - that will have the same effect : hide the taxes.
ruxinna
I once tried to to the space trick in translation and it didn't work, but now it's just perfect. Thank you!

ruxinna
in back office>tools>translations>front office translations. Pay attention to all the fields and wherever you see tax incl, tax excl. or any related text put a space. I gave it a quick look, it's in order carrier, order detail, product list, product, shopping cart product line and shopping cart. Hope I didn't miss any. Also don't forget about PDF translation after that. Leave blank wherever you see Total tax and stuff like that. Hope that this solves your problem

ruxinna
you don't have to export import anything. It's in back office: back office>tools>translations>front office translations you click the small flag near the front office translation field and there you find all the fields necessary. than, for the PDF translation you click the small arrow near front office translation look in the attachment picture. my flag is for romanian translation. from there you can change all the translations you don't need or like. ruxinna
REMINDER! You have to put a space instead of the text you want to erase "inclc. tax" erasing it it's just gonna show it in english.
