NemoPS
So descriptions are not saved for new products? Have you duplicated those from the first one? Is the dirst one's desc changing instead of the others?
PascalVG
If you edit the product, is the description shown? otherwise it may be a problem in your installation (most probably mod_security) then ask your host to turn of mod_security for you (tell them you run an eCommerce shop) My 2 cents, pascal
gamejacker
if I duplicate the 1st one then it still doesn't show and It still has the 1st ones title when shown on the 2nd product and nothing changed from the 1st
NemoPS
Then I suggest you follow Pascal's advice and turn off security mode
gamejacker
sorry but I have to disagree I already have 1 shop running from the same server and that is able to add new products just fine, its on an older version of prestashop, if it was mod_security then it would affect all
NemoPS
Okay, well we didn't know that. Have you tried turning errors and then clicking save&stay instead of simply saving? You might want to kill the postProcess function of the adminProductsController too, to check if those descriptions values are actually being passed by post
