GuitarGearAddict
I think this is a small job. I have already programmed a module. (Not a PrestaShop module) I'm just exploring whether it's worth it to have someone else implement it as a PrestaShop module or if I should take the time and learn it myself. I'm creating a store that sells guitar parts and accessories. Before I decided to use PrestaShop, I programmed a function on the site (using PHP/MySQL/HTML) where famous guitarist birthday would come up in a right hand column everyday. Like I said, I have the MySQL table and PHP done. I would just need it converted to a Prestashop module. Obviously, this module would be specific to my store and would not be sold commercially. I'm not sure if that saves any time. Here is what it looks like on a webpage; http://www.guitargearaddict.com/guitarist-bday/bday_list-today.php'>http://www.guitargearaddict.com/guitarist-bday/bday_list-today.php Here is the store. (Still in the very early stages) I would want it to come up where the "New Products" module is now, preferably only on the home page but I'll sort that out with the positions. http://www.guitargearaddict.com I could create a webpage to update it. I just need it to come up on the first page. Let me know if someone wants to quote a price on this. Nick Paonessa

GuitarGearAddict
Hi Vekia and Aldream, You're absilutely right. I followed the link and converting my PHP process to a module does seem pretty straight forward. But a forum member PM'ed me. Quoted me a very reasonable price. And while he was expertly converting my PHP to a Prestashop module, I was speding time with daughters. Sometimes it not about whether or not you CAN do something. It's about wheather or not you SHOULD. But I have to give a shout out to bellini13. He quoted me a very fair price. He communcated with me very clearly as to what he needed. Then he did the job quickly and the module worked without a single glitch. The experience is a testiment to his great work and also to what a great resource this forum is.
