ThomasHiggins
Hi I was just wondering if anyone would be kindly enough to tell me how remove total default shipping in the summary cart and cart block which is shown automatically when you put an order in the cart. (So that the summary cart will only show total of products & discount/voucher when applicable and find out about their postage after they log in and put in their address). I found the default shipping cost is misleading when people are ordering from overseas. I hope this makes sense, really appreciate any help, i want it to be the same as picture attached

dformica
I'm using PS 1.5.5.0 For what I gather, many other users would agree that "Total shipping" in the 1st step of the Cart "Cart Summary" is misleading. As well as the "Estimate the cost of shipping & taxes". Mainly because when you change the country, postal code and hit "Update Cart", it just doesn't work, "Total shipping" does not update. And the Estimate parameters resets to what was previously there. (This happens when the user has entered an address and navigated back to the Summary.) "Total Shipping" shouldn't have any value at the beginning, only after the user has entered the Estimate parameters and updated the cart. Carrieg
I was looking for a solution to this same problem - I didn't want shipping showing in the cart block or the cart summary until the customer had at least entered their country or state, etc. I was able to find a solution here: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/275100-remove-shipping-cost-from-cart-module/?p=1461523 *However* I have another problem. If someone changes the country from the US to Canada to estimate shipping charges (Canada is the only other country I have set up right now) as dformica mentioned, the cart summary does not update properly...and in my case, if the customer clicks "update cart" the cart summary displays "Free shipping"... and I do not have free shipping defined anywhere. Is there a way around this? The same thing happens when I replace the blockcart.tpl file witht the original, unedited version I am running Prestashop 1.5.5.0 carolyn
