FirestarZA
Hi Everyone, I had an error on my dashboard: You are currently connected under the following domain name: www.hrti.co.za This is different from the main shop domain name set in the "Multistore" page under the "Advanced Parameters" menu: hrti.co.za So, after googling this, it seemed as if I had to either add the www. somewhere, or take it away. The problem is that I didn't have multistore enabled. So, I enabled multistore, and went into the settings, and changed the advanced parameters > multistore (the existing store) to include the www. in front of htri.co.za The problem is that now I cannot get to either my store, or my back end, neither on http://www.hrti.co.za or on http://hrti.co.za. So, my store is now down. Can anyone help me? Can you please tell me how to disable multistore, or is there a way to get back to a working store? Thanks! FirestarZA
Phew, ok, it just started working again. I don't know how, since I couldn't do anything. But I still have the message on my dashboard. Here is the message: You are currently connected under the following domain name: www.hrti.co.zaThis is different from the main shop domain name set in the "Multistore" page under the "Advanced Parameters" menu: hrti.co.zaClick here if you want to modify your main shop's domain name. Please can someone help? Is this a problem, or can I just ignore it?
FirestarZA
Ok, everything is now sorted. I had TONS of issues with the URL rewrites, but that seemed to have been a caching issue which fixed itself as soon as I disabled the caching. So, for anyone else who has this issue, here is the fix: Click on the link in the error message, and change the URL from the linked page, to the URL that it is supposed to be. In my case, my "Set Shop URL" under preferences > SEO & URL's was set to "hrti.co.za" and "hrti.co.za" for the Shop Domain and SSL Domain fields respectively. This is stated in the second part of the error message. I had to change that to www.hrti.co.za and www.hrti.co.za Once I did this, I had to rebuild the thumbnails (preferences > images > regenerate thumbnails) and then redo my URL's (friendly URL's and canonical URL's) (preferences > SEO & URL's > Friendly URL = Yes and Automatically redirect to canonical URL = Yes). None of the above worked while caching was enabled, so disable caching completely: Advanced parameters > Performance > Smarty > Cache = no Advanced parameters > Performance > Caching > Use Cache = no I hope this helps someone out there, as this caused me a TON of headaches.
