[solved] Prestashop installation in the "presta" directory

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

The public_html directory does not contain an index.php or index.html file. As there is no content to display, Apache instead serves an error message. Appears to have the Prestashop installation in the "presta" Directory.

How can i move it on the direct Domain without loosing my products and so on.

i attach a screenshot of my puplic.html and also on of the install Information.

Im pretty much confused because in the Installation Information it says the right place.

I Need a step by step help in that case.

You installed prestashop manually or via softaculous or something similar (software from your webhosting control panel)

In my opinion, you should download latest prestashop version form official repository, then upload files to FTP.

After that - install your store manually.

If you want to move /presta/ to the root directory - just copy all files from /presta/ to the root dir. Don't foget about configuration under preferences > seo & urls

if you have got any questions - feel free to write

GOOD MORNING, i got an answer of the host now.

Hello,

From what the error is displaying 'Warning: require(/home/caninise/public_html/myshop123/../config/config.inc.php)' it appears that your Prestashop installation it trying to load a condig.inc.php from public_html/config which does not exist. You can try restoring your content using the Server Rewind tool in cPanel.

The following knowledgebase article will give you step by step instructions on how to use Server Rewind.

If you have any questions or run into further issues please let us know.

Best Regards,

Does it work or is it going to be worse when i try it???

I Wish everyone a wonderful day

it's your decision, you can use prestashop from softaculous (if it works for you)

i just wanted to say, that here on forum many merchants have got troubles with scripts from softaculous,

so its better to install ps manually - but it's only my opinion
