So confused - PayPal messages driving me mad

Hi - I hope you can help.. Firstly - I am completely new to this and i apologies in advance for my ignorance - I am no developer.

 

Okay, I managed to get my shop up and running but at the same time everyday 7.30am i got the following message 4 or 5 times:

A client has encountered a problem with the module PayPalAPI, see the report: PayPal response:

 

TIMESTAMP -> 2013-05-28T06:36:01Z

 

L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10525

 

L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Invalid Data

 

L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> This transaction cannot be processed. The amount to be charged is zero.

 

L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error

This was happening for the last few months every morning but you could still buy things and everything else seemed ok.

 

But as these messages were a bit annoying I tried to update the paypal module to v3.5.1

 

I get a new error message - same time in the morning but now 7 of them..:

Hi, Error reporting from your PayPalAPI module A client has encountered a problem with the module PayPalAPI, see the report:

 

No report...

 

So as I was running PS v1.5.2 I thought I would update to v1.5.4 but I get the following error:

[Ajax / Server Error for action unzip] textStatus: "error " errorThrown:"Service Unavailable " jqXHR: "

 

I disabled PayPal module, SEO friendly URL and the Cart v2 and tried to update again, but get the same error..???

 

i don't have a clue what to do next, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
