El Patron
There is a problem with the PrestaShop currency conversion. I manually updated my currienes and then notices 'later' that except for a few currencies GBP/AUD/CAD the conversion rate was set to zero. so in other words all my products except for EUR and those mentioned has a displayed price of 0.00. Can someone else verify that there conversion is or is not working. I saw a post earlier today 'cant find it now' where someone was having a similar problem. doh! Thanks in advance if anyone knows the answer. You could do what you want if your shop's default currency is USD, then (see belows) use 'shop default currency' paypal only accepts the following currencies: https://www.paypal.c...c_intro-outside for any currencies on your shop that are not supported, then exclude 'restrict' that currency in 'Payment module restrictions': http://screencast.com/t/l1vK0kNibLm Edited June 1, 2013 by eTiendas.co (see edit history)

adamus007p
I opened reports on forge but it is closed as solved, I wrote email to PS, but no answer..... currency update rates are not fixed! additionally there is an error to cancel any order Fatal error (Order -> conversion_rate = 0.845800) 3rd bug that you can not to update (manually) rates in BO in 1.4.10 no help or advice what to do from PS in such situaction, so here is my workaround: - you are not able to change currency rates from BO, use database for it - you can disable other currencies and leave only your default one (e.g. for people who don't know how to correct it in database) there should be a mechanism which prevent such as situaction in the future // in my case we loose a lot of money cause customer did not paid 100euro but paid 0$ not explain to the customer that it was a bug from prestashop and customer should pay a money if you sell didital files it is difficult.... my report, please join and write here you comments: http://forge.prestashop.com/browse/PNM-1466 Edited June 5, 2013 by adamus007p (see edit history)
Xavier du Tertre
Hi! The bank we are relying on to retrieve the real-time currencies rates had another glitch 48hrs ago, indeed. To prevent that from impacting your PrestaShop 1.4 store, we did two things: What we first did is we wrote a fix, you can either include it in your code right now, or wait for the next release to have it automaticaly included. Here's the fix : https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop-1.4/commit/018c40ff4d2878908ed6b4828df6beca764f38a8 Then, we created an alert system that warns us when there's a fault in the currencies update. It basically enables the system to realize when a new currency rate is wrong, and it stops the new currencies database to overwrite the previous one. This alerts system will be in place withing the next 24hrs, so you are sure not to encounter the problem again even if you don't include the fix in your code. Thank you so much for your understanding and your patience.

adamus007p
please keep in mind that now when error occurred you are not able to cancel any order Fatal error (Order -> conversion_rate = 0.845800) and you are not able to edit currency rates from BO >> 2nd bug where we can find this fix? warns us when there's a fault in the currencies update. us? who merchant or prestashop? if prestashop what when it happen on weekend or in bank holiday? It basically enables the system to realize when a new currency rate is wrong, and it stops the new currencies database to overwrite the previous one. so it will 1st verify the input data before will rewrite data in the database? Hexacrafter
My shop is set up with USD as default currency. I wish to also display GBP. I add the new currency as the non-default currency and all seems to be in order,BUT.... When you go to the shop and look at the GBP price it show 0.00.This problem has been identified before and closed a resolved, but it is not resolved.I manually set non default currency and the rate of .60. BUT when you go back into the edit currency, the currency still shows 0.0000 even though it was set to .60 and displays .60 in the main currency window. I think this is the BUG.... it is displaying on the website 0.00 as it is using the rate in the currency edit window (0.0000) as opposed to currency rate displayed in the main currency window. For now I have had to disable the GBP currency until I can get to to display the correct pricing (Not 0.00) on my website.
