fashionpup
Hi everyone I'm using Presta 1.5.3.1. Is there a way to do the following: 1. Create free shipping only on select items? 2. Create a voucher specific to only select products from a manufacturer and only have the voucher code applied to those products and not the rest of the cart? For example, if Apple products are entitled to 30% off and the customer purchases an Apple and also another product from a different brand, I want the discount to only apply to the Apple product. What I'm finding right now is that the cart seems to not work with the "selected products" option. Thank you Jessie
cruvoir
I am running into the same problem... I tried to run around the problem by creating new categories to help select the specific products that should TRIGGER the voucher. But it turns out, there is current no way to only apply the discount to specific items or groups. The voucher settings say: " The cart must contain at least [1] product(s) matching the following rules:" It's a rather poor implementation of a voucher system. benjamin utterback
Hi Cruvoir, When you add a cart rule, once you go to "Conditions" there is a checkbox that says "Product Selection" In there you can add a specific product that the voucher will be applied to. Were you able to find that checkout in Price Rules>Cart Rules>Conditions?
cruvoir
Yes we found it. No, we cant use that. As far as I understand it, that options allows us to specify ONE product that the voucher will be applied to. We have a whole category of products. cruvoir
We applied the rule to set specific Seasons and Designers to their own categories. Yet we ran into a serious problem with the discount placed onto our orders during a Sales period. The voucher we created was supposed to be valid for articles from the SS13 season only. The voucher some how included all the seasons, including the already marked sale items, which were in in several orders. The reason was, although we even set each season and designer to their own categories, the voucher included products it was not supposed to simply because the order had at least ONE product which applied to the cart rules. So the voucher reduced the entire order amount, and thus included items it wasn't set for. Can you see this problem with the vouchers?

cruvoir
There appears to be no current solution for this problem. i think it is a relatively simple and common need in shops, where a voucher is intended to work toward a single product or category only. For example, Ia retail clothing stores wants to run a sale for the current season only and not onto past seasons. If a customer applies the code to their order, the voucher only applies to the products which are of the current season - apposed the voucher applied to the entire order. Ray UK
If you cant just apply the voucher to the whole category (ie, if there are products in multiple categories) Then make another category, set as hidden, and add the products you want including. Then just apply that voucher to the category (which is hidden from view) I have done this and it works perfect for me
