Quicker way to set Carriers?

Hello, hope someone can help out. I Searched high and low for an answer...

 

I'm looking for a quicker way to set carriers for products without having to set them individually... it would be perfect if I could set them by category or by supplier (i.e. everything from supplier A can ship with carriers 1 & 2, everything from supplier B can ship with carriers 1, 3, &4, etc.)

 

Not all my products ship via the same carriers, and there's thousands of items so it would be almost impossible to do one at a time. I figured one method would be to limit the package size for certain carriers and set the package sizes for products accordingly... but It's the same problem because I would have to set the sizes individually, too.

 

I hope someone has some info in this regard, any help is greatly appreciated.
