I am thinking of developing a commercial connect module. Can you guys list the features you want so I know what people are expecting. Do list the same features if you want them, it would establish how many people want that feature.

It will not be a free module. I am a professional developer, this is my job. I will not entertain any comments about that.

wow! Never heard of this until i read this.

It looks really good!

Could you imagine someone buying something, and a little box popping up saying tell your friends. Then your mates finding out you just got a 210inch LCD tv or the latest iphone or something!

Im sure it can do much more than that but thats just my basic understanding.

It looks really good!

I have written a facebook connect module for Magento, and now I'm currently working on a Prestashop module. Send me a PM if you want to become a beta tester. You must have a live prestashop store running to be considered for beta tester.

Here's the magento module page.

Because some users have contacted us and underlined the fact that the module price is too high for an early version of the product...

We are offering a 35E REDUCTION COUPON for a limited amount of time (couple of weeks until on prestastore)

and with the condition of offering us back detailed feedback about installation / functionality and any possible issues. Who is interested, please contact support [AT] endpulse.com an ask for the coupon.

Even though the module functions flawlessly in this present moment, some people are more skeptical, hence the present offer.

Anyway future updates will be FREE so our customers will be provided with the latest version free of charge!!!

I've purchase this module and seem okay, but there are lot of bugs. One of the main problem is once installed you cant login using the normal login function that came with prestashop, well you can login but after few seconds in automatically get logged off.
I have sent a message but, the support is not that great :(

Dear All

I'm interested in this Module but have yet to see someone who has confirmed it is up and working for them.
If you have this installed on 1.2.4 version of prestashop please advise.
It would be great if you could PM me to advise of your site so I can check it out.
Additionally any views on this module would be welcome.

Clearly its an expensive module and I want to ensure it does what it says on the tin before I purchase.

Many thanks
Pinkloveshy

Gillian.

I hate these commercial modules, frankly. This module should definitely be free of charge. what a shame.

It's not a shame. You want freebie for you own commercial purpose? Seems unfair. People spent the time to create something, they have all the rights to sell it.

then why not pay also for prestashop? he's saying it's not fair because joomla or drupal have dozens of free 'facebook connect' modules ;)

LOL... it's great if someone decide to share their work, and let you use it for free, but there is absolutely nothing wrong if they ask you to pay for certain thing. If you can't pay or do't want to pay, then go do it yourself. I sure hope that after you spend a lots of time come up with it, you share with me LOL

? obviously you didn't understand what i meant. it's called open-source in the first place. sure, you use it to make money for yourself, but if all the cms that respect themselves have integrated the 'fb connect' free of charge, hell joomla has 20, half of them free and great, it's a bit weird that prestashop hasn't offered at most 1. catch my drift? offer prestashop for free and charge for the good modules. that's theft. u know what 'theft' means or would you like me to "share it with you LOL"?

Who tell you open source means it's free? Go ask your teachers LOL Prestashop let you modify every line of codes in their software to fit your purpose, that's open source. They're generous enough, just like most of other open source projects out there (I said most, not all) to let you download and use it for free. But if you want to modify or create any module that is not currently available you have to do it yourself (which I don't think you're capable of) or pay somebody else to do that. The same thing with programmers spending their time to create something, then they have all the right to sell it. If it's free, it's great, it's not free, nothing's wrong with it. You're making a fool out of yourself because of your lack of knowledge.
