Error after install

Hi, I recently did a fresh install of PS on Dreamhost. I've installed it on this hosting provider before with no issues.

 

I uploaded all the files, created the database, the installation completed with no problems or errors. However when I try to go to my front or back end, I get the error:

I tried to delete all the files and re-install, but my FTP app (Transmission on Mac OSX, a very popular app) says it can't delete some of the files because it can't find them, even though I can see them listed in the directory.

 

So, I'm guessing something has gone wrong with a file upload somewhere, but I have tried it twice and it still gives the error. I'm just connecting to the server and dragging and dropping all the files, like I have done dozens of times with dozens of sites, including PS.

 

Any ideas?

I've tried this with a different computer, different FTP app, fresh download of PS, etc. Still not working.

Hi SilentD,

Did you contact your host about not able to delete the files? This has not really anything to do with the installation and needs to be solved first. Looks like a wrong file reference/index table.

In the mean time, you may try to install it in a new directory and see if that helps...
