mojtabam
Hi, I added a product to the cart and tried to check out as a guest. Everything was going well and my site redirected me to the paypal site with correct information of the product. The problem is that when I logged in and tried to pay the amount it just suddenly goes out from the paypal site and came back to my site. The product was still in the cart, and the payment did not proceed. Also when I clicked on the cart, it just was redirecting to my home page. I am using prestashop 1.5.4.1 and paypal 3.5.0 Please kindly help me to fix this problem. Thank you very much. Best Regards, Mojtaba

Dh42
So, let me get this straight, once you are on the paypal site, the problem happens?
mojtabam
Yes, When I am going to confirm the payment amount in the paypal site this problem happens. (just with guest checkout)
Dh42
Very odd, I have never actually heard of that problem, it sound like it might be on the paypal side. Have you tested it multiple times from different browsers? Also what version of PS and what version of paypal are you using?
mojtabam
I am using prestashop 1.5.4.1 and paypal 3.5. If you search the forum for "paypal"+"guest checkout" you will find other posts reporting same problem with different versions of PS and paypal. Dh42
the only one I returned that was using the same version as you was a post by you with no answers. If you want to Pm me your site's address and put a product in the shop for $1 with no shipping, I will be more than happy to look at it and try to help you. Dh42
In your backoffice in your paypal module it should say live mode or test mode. Do regular checkouts work on your site?
mojtabam
Yes regular checkout works pretty well. Use a sandbox: live (recommended)
Dh42
Interesting, is your paypal account registered in america? I seems like the problem might be with the paypal account and the currency settings. What currencies does the account allow?
mojtabam
I have registered it in Canada. I am not pretty sure if it can accept US dollar as well or not; but why it is working with a registered account in my shop? Just guests can not finalize their payments!! mojtabam
I asked paypal about why you could not purchase from USA from my site and they replied: "There's is nothing to adjust on your end. You just have to let your customer know that if they want to use a Canadian shipping address, they would need to pay with a card using a Canadian card or create an actual Canadian PayPal account. This is because the system is recognizing that the PayPal account that your customer has is not a Canadian one and he's using a Canadian shipping address. " Thank you very much.
