steals
Hello forum, I'd like to install wowslider into my site's home page or into the Home text editor, is this possible, and how. Maybe someone can suggest a similar alternative slider or a free slider. http://wowslider.com/ Thanks
SmartDataSoft
you can use nivo slider, that is also free. if you want to use nivo slider in place of homeslider than got you your theme themes->mytheme->modules->homeslider->homeslider.tpl and change markup like the plugin need and load the js and it will work.or you can use cameraslider for presashop which is free . you can search on google and find that. steals
What I need is a slider that does not stretch my images and gives me a color option for the left and right blank spaces. I need a slider that preserves the aspect ratio of my images. Wowslider has all the options I need, but I don't know how to use it with Prestashop. NemoPS
To use it with prestashop, the best way would be to create a module out of it, but of course you need to know the module API, especially how to deal with images. Otherwise, you can just drag and drop it in a template file, hardcoding the html part and manually chenaging it when required. Of course, you'd also need to hardcode javascript and css links
steals
Thanks Nemo1, maybe I'll just create a video slideshow and be done with it. Edited May 27, 2013 by steals (see edit history)
vekia
don't forget about commercial license! WOW Slider is free for non-commercial use. For commercial use please see Commercial Licenses
steals
It would be money well spent if they made it a PrestaShop module. Edited May 27, 2013 by steals (see edit history)
