Piotr Kaczor
Hello, manually change name of Your transparent logo file: logo.png to logo.jpg and upload it to /img/ folder. That trick is from Prestashop documentation (if I remember good) and it work perfectly.

pshopmet
Hi I also had this problem. My logo had a transparent background. when i import it using "preferences" - "themes" it turned the background white. Today I looked around in the back-office (im new to prestashop 1 week) and saw this option : Goto "preference" - "images" then you are given the following options: Image quality Use JPEG Use PNG only if the base image is in PNG format. Use PNG for all images Its warns "JPEG images have a small file size and standard quality. PNG images have a larger file size, a higher quality and support transparency. Note that in all cases the image files will have the .jpg extension. WARNING: This feature may not be compatible with your theme, or with some of your modules. In particular, PNG mode is not compatible with the Watermark module. If you encounter any issues, turn it off by selecting "Use JPEG". So I changed it to "Use PNG only if the base image is in PNG format." and voilà the transparency show fin in the logo. Hope this help someone as I have been on over 10hrs with it Doh!
