1.5.4.1 Top Horizontal Menu, categories and Multistore

Hi guys,

 

I have a fresh clean install of prestashop 1.5.4.1 with Hundreeds of products and a few categories.

 

I am using multistore and my category structure is

 

1 Home (root)

2 Apparel

10 Apparel sub 1

11 Apparel sub 2

3 Kitchen

4 Cosmetics

 

My multistore are

group default

- aaa.com

- bbb.com

- ccc.com

- ddd.com

 

I would like

aaa.com to show in top horizontal menu

 

2 Apparel

10 Apparel sub 1

11 Apparel sub 2

3 Kitchen

4 Cosmetics

 

bbb.com

 

2 Apparel

10 Apparel sub 1

11 Apparel sub 2

 

ccc.com

3 Kitchen

 

ddd.com

4 Cosmetics

 

and I struggle at this.

 

First question:

I manage to configure Top Horizontal Menu for all shops (change categories, add search).

 

If I make any change with backoffice switched to editing only shop bbb.com

-> changes are not reflected.

I tried just adding the search with backoffice switched to editing only shop bbb.com

-> search still does not show up

 

=> Tends to prove that configuration for all shops is used permanently.

 

Second question:

 

How to make a category not visible in selected shops?

 

I don't want to display Cosmetics on bbb.com for example.

 

I went to Catalog -> Categories and un-ticked the box for selected stores (including bbb.com)

-> Still visible

 

I went to Avanced Parameters -> Multistore -> bbb.com -> Edit and un-ticked the box in "Associated categories:"

-> Still visible

 

Any advice or attempt to put me on the right path appreciated

I am wanting to do something pretty much the same in Prestashop 1.5.5. Is there any solution to this available?
