Problems restoring DB Backup

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody ..

I am using Prestashop with version 1.4.7.0 and i installed the 1.5.3 Version in an individual folder the i got a backup from the version 1.4.7 and i have restored it with phpmyadmin for the 1.5.3 prestashop version.

Now:

1. i Can't login to my admin panel

2. my website stopped responding with sever error, with this message

The website encountered an error while retrieving http://ibnqym.com/home/en/. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

What i have to do?

i am just trying another method to upgrade .

Please help or advice :)

Thanks all.

I want to use the database in 1.4.7 with the new version 1.5.3 because i have many problems with the old version caused by an developed. and i need to use this clear version of prestashop 1.5.3 with my 1.4.7 database and i think it's not possible !

i can't upgrade the old version with the upgrading plugin tool because my DB i have 12GB of images and a huge DB i can't do a risk like that.

all what i need to know if it possible to do it with this way?

if not. and i have to upgrade with automatic upgrading too, is it will remove my img folder, replace translations files and affect my db?

Great thanks Vekia

Hi

i dont think its possible to use your old v1.4.7 db to both v1.5 prestashop files and db as they have different structure.

try to use the manual upgrade and skip copying the product image folder. after u successful upgrade without the product image, then just copy ur product image from your original files.

good luck with the upgrade.

i totally agree with entrancey

prestashop 1.5 will not work with 1.4.7 database, due to the differencies in the database structure.

you can only update it to support 1.5, other solutions will not work.
