RCP90
Hello! So I just uploaded my first batch of images, I uploaded them via FTP to /public_html/upload/img/ Next I uploaded a test product CSV with 1 product to see if it would link to the image. I used the absolute URL in the CSV. upload went through fine, but the image did not link. I tested the absolute URL path to the image in my browser which also did not work. I know the images are all there, so I thoguht it could be permissions on the folders & images ,so I changed then to 644/755 and still cannot view them.. I believe it to be a permission based thing, so any advice on which permissions I should be setting on the images.folders would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all! benjamin utterback
I would try to blast it through using a 777 permission set temporarily. Some servers can be restrictive. Make sure to change it back asap. What version of PrestaShop are you using?
RCP90
Hello, Thanks for the reply. I am using 1.5.4.1. Do you mean the directories or the images themselves? thank you!
benjamin utterback
Hi, both, but only temporarily.
RCP90
OK, Tried this. It did not work, I changed the upload/img folders to 777 and the test image. Actually I just noticed the the 'upload' folder will automatically revert to 755, even after I change to 777....
benjamin utterback
Hello have you contacted your host about this. I don't think the folder should switch to 755 automatically. I wonder if they can help.

benjamin utterback
As long as you know that the CSV images are calling from the correct place, the server should show the images. It seems to be a permission problem then.
RCP90
OK, so this was just me being dumb.. spoke to my hosting company and they said that the pubic_html folder is hidden so they moved the image folder to mydomain/upload/img so its all good now
