hippooflove Posted May 23, 2013 Share Posted May 23, 2013 (edited) Hi I would like somebody to confirm for me what should happen when a customer pays via Paypal. I have had a problem for over 12 months now and it is getting frustrating and I am starting to wonder if I misunderstand what should happen. 1.The customer pays via Paypal. 2. you get an email informing us of the payment. 3. it creates an order in the BO 4. the customer gets confirmation of the order and can see it in their account. Now on my site step 3 and 4 do not happen. I installed a manual module to convert the cart to order and have to create the order manually. If I am not at a computer to do this, the customer thinks no order has been created and pays again or creates another order or rings me to complain. All 3 are not good for business. Please can you confirm steps 1-4 should happen and can anybody help sort this out? i am using prestashop 1.4.8.2 and paypal module PayPal v2.8.7 by PrestaShop. If you have got an ability to check the php error log - check it! if some error appears in the payment files, paste it here you can also turn on error reporting, and try to create an order. if any error appear - you should see it. i've got additional question. It was an error on the PayPal site regarding an incorrect IPN address.
