Installation Wizard Stops

Recommended Posts

Installation Wizard won't let me hit NEXT once I get to the System & Permissions Screen, even though I do not have anything to fix. The page says as follows:

System and permissions
The following settings are required. Please make sure the following checklist items are true.

Optional set-up

Please help! GoDaddy.com is my Linux host.

Thanks!

Hi.

I have the same Problem: While updating to version 1.2.2 the process stops on "system and permission" (even though all settings/permissions are ok).

The xmlhttprequest just fails and returns a 500 internal server error:
request points on:
http://domain.tld/install/model.php?_=1251976491401&method=doUpgrade

Firebug says:
uncaught exception: [Exception... "Could not convert JavaScript argument arg 0" nsresult: "0x80570009 (NS_ERROR_XPC_BAD_CONVERT_JS)" location: "JS frame :: http://domain.tld/js/jquery/jquery-1.2.6.pack.js :: anonymous :: line 11" data: no]

Line 0

Could you please check that or give me a hint what I have to do?
Thanks in advance.

im having the same problem, im not able to go to "Shop Configuration" section.

when I checked the browser Javascript error console. following is getting displayed.

reference to undefined property D.cache[a][d]
reference to undefined property d.queue

Warning: reference to undefined property d.queue
Source File: http://localhost/prestashop/js/jquery/jquery-1.2.6.pack.js
Line: 11

Browser Version : Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090715 Firefox/3.5.1

It would be better, if the installation guide mentions which browser needs to be used during installation.

I tried in all the browser IE6.0, Google Chrome, Firefox 3.5.1

I figured out the problem :

I used the firebug to see the error and the log file too helped in notifying the error.

C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\logs\error.log

I know the "step3" problem happens for various reasons, but I did not find this particular problem reported anywhere may be im a newbie to PHP. So didnt know about simple stuff like setting the timezone.

if you see this error in firbug or error log

[error] [client 127.0.0.1] PHP Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Denver' for '-6.0/DST' instead in C:\\Program Files\\Apache Software Foundation\\Apache2.2\\htdocs\\prestashop\\install\\xml\\createDB.php on line 47, referer: http://localhost/prestashop/install/

then you need to set the timezone in php.ini file

date.timezone = "America/Denver"

the timezone varies basedon ur location.

after this drop the preastshop database and do a new installation.

I dont how to make modify the topic SOLVED - im new to the forum

Thanks,
Bizman
