Layered navigation block implementation and/or horizontally

Hi

I purchased a theme called pinshop and i need layered navigation block best on top of page. Theme developer says it cannot be done as there is no sidebar (although promised me an update with sidebar added but now changed his mind wrrrr) so my question is: is it really cannot be implemented into that theme?

 

I also found that: http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS15/Implementing+layered+navigation+in+a+theme which looks like it could be done to any theme.

 

If not on the side could it be done on top of page just above all products, horizontally?
