[solved] front office not working?

Hello

 

I am starting my first webshop and i am running into some problems.

i just switched from my temporary IP to my final domain.

and my back office is working just fine, but my front page only have the background color i gave it and my logo, and nothing more??

 

(i am using bluehost)

i have put all my files in the public_html folder, and changed the URL inside prestashop (preferences > SEO & URLs), but no matter what i try it is still just showing background color and logo?

 

is there something i am missing?

in this case you have to regenerate htaccess and clear smarty / webbrowser cache

i know that you changes SEO & urls, but sometimes this method doesnt work well

 

log in to your ftp and remove .htaccess file - then refresh your website front-page.

i tried to delete my htaccess file, and then regenerate it, but it's still the same problem

Try to turn on error reporting - and refresh your front office - maybe some errors will appear

i get no errors or anything when i do this, just the same page :/

 

i's also weird that if i choose mobile version of the site, it will show all the categoris, and i am actually able to navigate around in it, but then i have no background color?

mabye i should just delete everything and start over? i seems like no one have an answer for me?

i've noticed that you use non default theme, can you switch it to the default?

Okay so i went into Advanced Parameters > Configuration Information, and it says i am missing 1031 files!!! what??

 

Can this have to do with me moving the files out of public_html/prestashop to just public_html, is there something that is not pointing towards the new location?

I SOLVED IT!!

 

if you wanna put a solved note on it. it turned out, that in my files somehow the folder modules have changed name to modulestmp, so i just renamed it back and now it works

Expand  

Sometimes only refreshing the website after deleting the .htaccess file is not enough.

You have to go to Preferences > SEO & URLs > turn off friendly URLs, save, and turn them back on to generate a new .htaccess file.
