netrover Posted August 7, 2009 Share Posted August 7, 2009 Hi everyone, it would be good if the default product descriptions for the meta tags was taken from the actual product description.I know about the improve SEO feature for products.This would not be such an important feature if the default description meta was better.for ex:I have a client who did not bother with improve seo feature and now has over 150 products.They have all been indexed by google but the product descriptions default meta includes price etc. as below:-Price lowered! £4.55 (£4.55 tax not incl.) £5.69 incl. tax. (price reduced by 20 %). Reference : BIC200. Quantity : Availability: ...therefore I think it would be better for the default description meta to be a bit more relevant and useful and should be taken from the product short description unless the improve seo is used.
