new install. 1.5.4. Cannot create products

Can anyone tell me the answer to the errors that you get after doing a new install and then attempting to create a product.

 

 

 

An error occurred while creating object. Product

 

I have searched the forum and can find that other people have had the same problem but its been closed and I can't find what the fix is.

 

 

I followed the advise and edited the defines.inc.php file to TRUE and was given the errors as shown in the attached file.

 

I am new at Prestashop and don't know if I need to reinstall everything or if there is a fix.

That's really weird, the database is missing a column. DId you get any error during the installation process?

Thanks for replying. I didn't have any errors at all during the install but out of frustration, I deleted all the files and started a fresh install.

 

This went really well, I can now do everything HOWEVER instead of type www.domain.com.au to open home page I can only display the home page if I type www.domain.com.au/shop which isn't any good of course.

 

I checked the SEO/URL settings and they show the correct directory that the shop is installed in so now i'm really stumped.

 

If you have any ideas it would be great appreciated as I feel like i'm going around in circles

Did you do a database cleanup before uninstalling? In any case you can add the missing table as a 10 length integer to ps_product
