Aussiegirl13
Hi there! I have been using Prestashop for 2 years & I have many problems in the backend The version we are using is 1.3.6.0 and we want to upgrade if it would help but we are not certain that the theme allows us too? our site is www.partylovers.com.au Things are so bad with 1.3.6.0 that we cannot even enter new product descriptions, change quantities or prices on old listings, use any of the customs characters or insert tables, print invoices or delivery slips (this function has never worked) or even see what size sells when we make a sale! Basically the site isn't functioning. We also wish to change the format of the URLS but we are unable to do this also. Any guidance on whether we can and tips on dealing with these problems are most welcome! Thank you for your time and I really hope you can help me!! Xavier du Tertre
Hi Jacinta, Do you have more details about your theme? Is the theme sheet still online and if so, do you have the URL? Cheers!
Aussiegirl13
Thanks Xavier for your response, I appreciate it! Yes the theme sheet is still online and the url is http://www.templatemonster.com/prestashop-themes/34910.html Cheers
Xavier du Tertre
It looks like the template is only compatible up to PrestaShop 1.4.3.x But if you were to update to 1.4, I would strongly suggest that you get version 1.4.10. Which is why my recommendation is to find a new template compatible with 1.4.10 or 1.5.4 and that matches your needs
Lorellas
Hello, sorry if I'm intruding, but I also wanted to download the version 1.4.10. Once downloaded how do I make the 'upgrade from my version 1.4.7.3 to version 1.4.10, so that all the pictures of the products that I have so far with their descriptions do not go to get messy, so find as before , my site is still local (OFF-LINE)?? I'm sorry for my English. I am a beginners, I would appreciate very much a help. Thank you very much.
Xavier du Tertre
Hi Elenafw, Your question is quite different from Aussiegirl's, you should definitly go to the Italian forum and ask it in your own language if it's easier for you http://www.prestashop.com/forums/forum/57-forum-italiano/
Aussiegirl13
Thanks for your help Xavier! Your a legend! Please tell me, why do you strongly recommend an update to 1.4 instead of going for the latest versions of 1.5.4? Wouldn't I be better off with the latest update? Or is this not possible from 1.3.6 ? Thanks again!!!!
Xavier du Tertre
You misunderstood me The template you're using for your theme is compatible up to 1.4.3. So if you were to decide that you're going to stick with this theme and just update your PrestaShop to the latest version compatible with the theme you already have, you're going to update to 1.4.3. But 1.4.3 is an old version of PrestaShop V1.4. The newest version of V1.4 is 1.4.10, and you should always be up-to-date with your version of PrestaShop, because each version becomes more stable with updates. And of course, there's PrestaShop V1.5! Since you're going to take the step anyway (you're on V1.3 now), you should absolutely jump to V1.5 and be sure to enjoy your new V1.5-compatible theme for long years ahead
