It is necessary to copy all files + database

vekia
Well, This can be understood as a backup. All you have to do is to: copy files from your prestashop directory to the new directory in another PC. export database from localhost, then import database to another PC

PrestaMonster.com
Google for phpMyAdmin, It can export and import database. After copy files and database to another PC, you need to do 2 things: 1. Edit config/settings.inc.php, set new value for database name, database user name, database user password, and database server. 2. Edit your database, in table ps_shop_url, correct value of 3 fields: domain, domain_ssl, and physical_uri.

BoKr
Would be really worth a sticky if we could have a video tut for exporting / back up a prestashop DB. No word here about a quick or custom export No word about whether to tick DROP TABLES or not. No word about to tick STRUCTURE or STRUCTURE AND DATA or only DATA That is the reason why I sumbled about this thread doing a forum search. The wiki/documentation says we need to tick STRUCTURE only or does it say STRUCTURE AND DATA? Sorry but I am not a native English. I wonder if that is correct. Can you tell me please? thank you link wiki: http://doc.prestasho...your+own+backup Quote In the export screen: Make sure all of PrestaShop's tables are selected, and only these. They should start with the ps_ prefix (or any prefix you have chosen to use when installing PrestaShop). Make sure the "SQL" radio button is selected. In the "Structure" section, tick the following boxes: "Structure". "Add DROP TABLE / VIEW / PROCEDURE / FUNCTION". "Add IF NOT EXISTS". "Add AUTO_INCREMENT". "Enclose table and field names with backquotes". In the "Data" section, tick at least the following box: "Data".
