[SOLVED] Paypal Pro Module work with Paypal Website Payments Pro?

Hey everyone,

 

I was wondering if the "Paypal Pro" module is compatible with Paypal Website Payments Pro which is compatible with Canada.

 

The module; http://addons.prestashop.com/en/payments-gateways-prestashop-modules/5314-paypal-pro.html

 

I see that the module Paypal Pro is only compatible with United States and Australian merchants?

 

Can I use Paypal Pro as the gateway with Paypal Website Payments Pro as a merchant?

Is that compatible with Prestashop or would I need additional modules?

There also will be a new Integrated PayPal module that will work in the United States, UK, and Canada, it should be released later this month.

As of now, the PayPal Pro module does not work in Canada

 

Please keep me informed as well - I'm based in the UK. I was using PayPal Pro on my previous e-commerce site and that worked well but I have just moved over to Prestashop for the extra features that we now require. PayPal Pro would just make everything much simpler and easier for us. When do you envisage the release?

Hi, I'm having troubles using the paypal module too. I configured it with the pro account but i'm not receiving CC payments from many countries like UK, Spain, Finland, Greece, Luxemburg etc... From France, Italy, Germany etc.. the module works even from Canada and US.

The message error is "Go back to the payment page and correct the address". Can somebody help me? TIA

Hey Marc, I new PayPal module is already available. It is not a PayPal Pro module but it does accept Pro Payments. It's totally free and works in US, Canada and the UK.

If you have any questions regarding this module is particular, please make a separate thread as the OP is about PayPal Pro.

 

Also! There is an issue in this PayPal USA, UK, and Canada. If your product descriptions are over 80 characters, you may have a problem. This issue is being fixed in the next release.

using this module, is the payment form inside prestashop or we get redirected to the paypal website?

Hi Marc, this module has 4 options, two of which redirect you the the PayPal website, the others you are not. You can take Credit Card Payments and PayPal Payments directly on your website if you want. :)

No Problem! I'm glad I could help. This module was actually released just over a month ago. I originally had the information that it would be released at the end of May. That being said, there were some significant issues with the PayPal USA module in the beginning so we had to do some housecleaning before releasing it again. The remaining error I know of is mentioned in my previous posts. I hope to see you on the forum more often!

We currently have a Prestashop 1.3.1.1 store at [moderator removed] . The website may be NSFW for you :)

 

I am working on a 1.5.4.1 website we will release very soon. I was not able to migrate correctly from 1.3.1.1, so I started from scratch.

 

We almost have 2000 products and Prestashop is doing great.

I am interested in buying this module, but am a little leary because I can't get ahold of anyone at presto-changeo. I tried contacting them a few weeks ago with some questions I had, and I never heard back. I tried a second time today, and got a error message saying my inquiry was not deliverable. I am concerned that I will purchase the module and not have access to any support from them. Also, I am not ready to purchase until I can get some answers about the module. Don't want to waste money on something that won't work for me. Anyone have any ideas on what to do from here?

That is very odd they are usually prompt about responding. I did read today that there is a change going on dealing with how emails are to be delivered that affect just about every prestashop shop. It could have been caught in that, I do not really know. But I can say that the module is solid, I have a dozen or so clients using it. As far as I know it is the only one on the market that sends the complete information to paypal so that a shipping label can be printed from paypal.

simeen: Did you get the auto-response confirmation email? if not, then we did not get your message, or your host is blocking message from our site.

 

We return all messages within a few hours (generally max 24 hours), and we seem to be getting the normal amount of emails, so I do not believe this is an issue on our end.

yes i did, thanks. I gave a different email address the first time I tried to contact you, but no worries, thanks for your quick response. I will be purchasing the module.
