[SOLVED] Text version of front office after installation 1.5.4.1 (no theme)

Hi,

after installing 1.5.4.1 I can't see no graphic items. My site looks like there is no theme.

In Back office there is no theme preview.

I've tried to reinstall, add a new theme but it didn't help.

 

my site is frenchhome.pl

it looks like hosting configuration issue, because when i try to open css stylesheet i've got this issue:

 

http://frenchhome.pl/themes/default/css/global.css

 

where you've got hosting ? home.pl?

yup! But as I mentioned before - two other shops are working well..

but as you can see - it is easy to fix

Hi. These .htaacess files

 

/themes/.htaccess

/modules/.htaccess

 

can be deleted or renamed too. PS. 1.5.4.1 on home.pl works smooth without it.

Hi!

I had the same issue: a distorted startpage with no images and the text sticking to the left side.

My installation was local, with:

 

XAMPP 1.8.3
PHP Version 5.5.3

Prestashop 1.5.6.2
Windows 7 / 64bit

 

But your test - accessing the file global.css at (in my case)

  http://localhost/myshop/themes/default/css/global.css

gave me a hint because I got an error 500 and so I searched the web for this error and found this hint:

 http://www.lancelhoff.com/xampp-500-internal-server-error/

which says

"Delete the .htaccess file".

 

I deleted these files (on both locations mentioned above)...and voila...the shop looked like it should!

 

I was just wondering: the .htaccess files are there for a reason I guess;

as far as I understood this is a security messure to prevent direct access to smarty files, isn't it?

So...is it appropriate/save to just delete these files? Shouldn't I do anything else to deny access?

 

Of course it is not relevant for the local installation, but I am talking about transfering everything to my webserver. Does it matter if these .htaccess files are there or not?

plaese turn on error reporting, then you will see detailed information about sql query connected to this error.

can you please paste the query here?
