How do I make Free Shipping for just one shipper?

Recommended Posts

I'm on 1.5.3.1

Currently Our store offer Free Shipping on orders over $50 and $7.95 for order under that. It works well, but applies it to all shipment methods. I can't give away 2nd day, and overnight shipping.

So how do I restrict it to a default shipping method? or carrier I guess?

Create a carrier by whatever name is suitable, check the zones which you want this carrier to deliver to.

Now set up price ranges for rhe carrier. 0-$50 and $50 to $10,000 (needs to be a higher value that the likeliest highest sale).

Now on fees by zone select the carrier and set the shipping cost for each price range.

That should include this carrier in the available carriers displayed to the customer.

The problem is I have my shippers all set up and they work fine. But when I applied under "Shipping" the $7.95 handling charge and Free Shipping starts at $50, it applies that logic to all shippers. So if I turn on my 2nd day or overnight, it applies those same rules to these. It will then allow you to have Free 2nd day or overnight shipping...which I don't want!

Yes, that's why you need to do it by adding another shipper. I'm not aware of another way to do it unless there is a suitable module available to do what you need.
