Doulas Akula
The reason could be that all the products attributes were not saved in the database when you imported them. To confirm whether this is the issue. Just browse to the product category select a product edit it and then save (click on edit and save). Then try to click on the product in front office. If it opens then that could be the issue. The other reason for this is usually url-rewriting. Enabling it or disabling it could be the issue. Let us know what you find out. Hope it sheds some light
perthjay85
Hey Doulas Akula, Thank you for your post. I tried editing a product and saving it again an had no luck. Even the contact us page doesn't appear to work. only page that works is the homepage. Everything appeared to be working fine at the start of the week. Thank you Jay

Doulas Akula
It could be a URL-rewriting issue. Try to regenerate the ht access file after enabling URL rewriting. If it is already enabled ensure your hosting provider has support for URL rewriting.
perthjay85
I am terribly sorry but could you possibly link me to a "how to" process for regenerating the ht access. Like I said I am very new at this
perthjay85
ok I managed to fix this problem. You were right on the money Doulas. But I found another site that explains an easy way to regenerate ht acccess. in my case I had to turn the "Friendly url" off and then back on and it regenerated it automatically. But thank you for your help which without I would have been stuck for a long time. for anyone looking for the page this is it: http://mypresta.eu/en/art/basic-tutorials/how-to-regenerate-htaccess-in-prestashop-1-5.html Edited May 9, 2013 by perthjay85 (see edit history)
