[SOLVED] Tax not computing 1.5.4.1

I need some help if someone knows if I have something configured wrong? or if I need to modify some files or any other suggestions to get the taxes to calculate in PrestaShop 1.5.4.1

 

I am in the United States. I have removed all other countries as I only sell in the United States. I also only am required to collect tax if the sale is being shipped to the State of Missouri. I've created a tax rule of 7.600% for zip codes in Missouri, but the taxes don't calculate.

 

I've tried all the following, but nothing calculates sales tax:

a) using the default tax rate, plus combining it with another.

using the default tax rate

c) creating a custom tax rate

d) entering a range of Zip codes that includes all of Missouri

e) entering a specific zip code that includes a city to test

f) resetting defaults and trying all again.

g) checking the tax calculation in the shopping cart as a guest user (ie- not logged in)

h) checking the tax calculation in the shopping cart logged in.

i) trying all major browsers.

j) reading other forums regarding people getting sales tax to work (but most of those forums were regarding sales tax not calculating a sales price)

k) reading the help forum and following their steps to add a tax rule.

Solved..after banging my head on this and trying every tax rule combination I could think of...I checked the sample product info that was included in Prestashop and low and behold, it was specifically designated to not apply a tax to that product.

 

After I changed the product to be taxable, the tax does calculate and calculates correctly with discounts applied.
